At 18:09 hours on Friday 20 July the C Platoon was alerted for a MVC on American Legion Road. Units responded and found a single car accident at the entrance to the American legion hall. The two occupants of the car were not seriously injured and ended up refusing medical care. Sunrise Beach units remained on the scene to assist Sunrise Beach PD with traffic control.As we move through the summer session the Fire District would like to take a minute to remind everyone to slow down and drive with care. We respond to a high volume of motor vehicle collisions. Even though most of these responses are not to serious accidents, it only takes a second for a serious situation to occur.
