Working Fire

At 10:12 hours on Thursday 8 November, Sunrise Beach units were dispatched to a report of the dwelling fire on Rain Drop Drive. As the units were turning out, the Camden County Dispatch Center advised that they were receiving reports of a dwelling well involved. Mutual Aid was requested from Lake Ozark, Gravois, and the Mid – County Fire Districts.

First arriving units encountered a single family well involved. A portable monitor was deployed along with multiple hand lines. Fire Boats from Lake Ozark and Sunrise Beach were also deployed to assist with fire suppression and water supply. After an aggressive attack, the bulk of the fire was knocked down.

Thankfully there was no one at home at the time of the fire. Unfortunately the dwelling and its contents were a total loss.

A special note of thanks to our community is called for. After making an appeal to the public, many of our citizens contribute clothing and household goods to help the fire victims. This is just another example that we see of the fine community that we are part of.
