At 22:10 hours on Thursday May 24 units were dispatched to a boat fire with people trapped in the vicinity of the 32 mile marker on the Osage Arm. Units responded and found a 39 ‘boat fully involved. The occupants had self evacuated by the time units arrived. Fire Department units began to take actions to extinguish the fire. Units from both Sunrise Beach and the Mid-County Fire Protection Districts engaged the incident and were able to extinguish the fire. Unfortunately the boat was a total loss.
